Rosh Hashanah

Today is the celebration of the Jewish New Year. I am sure that it is extremely difficult for God’s chosen people to celebrate when they are being attacked as they are. Let’s pray for them today and in the coming days.

Tonight, at 8pm CST, I will do my address about the New Year and what I believe the Lord is pointing us to for this next year. You can join me online on Facebook at that time or watch it later.

The Jewish people eat apples dipped in honey during this celebration of their New Year as a prayer for their year to be fruitful and sweet. I pray this for them today.

After Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish people go into 10 days, called Teshuvah, or the 10 Days of Awe, prior to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. I’ll share about that in the next few days!

What a celebration for us Gentiles who have been grafted in to be a part of the Christian faith as God’s children! Jesus Christ became our one time for all time Passover Lamb slain for our sin, so that we could be made one (atonement: at-one-ment) with Father God!

So today, we pray for the Jewish people, and we look ahead to new year God has for them and for us! And we say “May it be fruitful and sweet, in Jesus’ mighty name!!!”
