Unshaken

This week, the Lord has been speaking SO much and I haven’t taken the time to write it all out! Whew!

For one, I believe that the Lord is shaking us. He is shaking this nation and we must hold fast to what cannot be shaken. He is shaking the Church and we must allow Him to “weed out” who and what needs to go, mainly, the false ideology that has been allowed to infiltrate it. God never wanted His Church to look like the world, be run like the world (like a corporation), or behave like the world. But, I also believe God is shaking His people who, living in this world, have inadvertently taken on worldliness and may not even know it. (This is the ultimate deception.)

God is shaking our selfishness. God is shaking our pride. God is shaking insecurities. God is shaking our focus. God is shaking our stability. God is shaking our confidence. God is shaking our endurance. God is shaking our persistence. But why?

I will speak for me and vulnerably share that I have had a shaking in my life since May of last year. I am weary. I am worn. BUT, I am becoming grounded and rooted.

The Bible says in Hebrews 12:26b-29 that we receive this warning from heaven:

Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

God is removing what can be shaken. All of it. The days are coming, friends, when we must be unshakable. And in order for us to become unshakable, the shakable must be removed like a cancer. It might be painful and elongated, but it is necessary for us to stand firm in these later days.

Our God is a consuming fire. Fire burns up the dross within so fire can burn passionately without for the world to see. There are two sides to fire in covenant with God. We see it in Genesis 15:17, when God makes covenant with Abraham with a fire pot and a fire torch. Fire within and fire without.

You see, without a shaking, you can’t be unshakable. Without fire within, you will never be on fire for Him without.

So as I have said so many times, I believe we are in a season of great shaking, and we must embrace that shake. We must allow God to shake off all that needs to be gone, required, reconstructed, adjusted, realigned and remolded so that we become unshakable.

So let Him shake. Let Him burn. And hold on tightly to Him with a vulnerable and teachable heart.

Embracing the shaking develops the unshakable.

You are so loved,

Jena
